John Reese’s Traffic Videos - Are They REALLY So Great?

Posted by Alice Seba

Traffic Secrets Free VideoBy now, you’ve probably been beaten over the head with the fact that John Reese has released a couple of new videos to help promote the upcoming release of the 2nd edition of his wildly successful Traffic Secrets course.

The videos are content-driven and include some very practical suggestions for boosting your own website traffic.

Of course, you probably already know this because you’ve been emailed a hundred times, been bombarded on Twitter, Facebook and wherever else affiliates go crazy spreading the word.

(Don’t get me wrong, I AM using my affiliate link in this post - like John needs ALL the money from his sales :-) - but I wanted to wait to tell you about this until I had a chance to go through everything)

So What’s in the Videos? Are They Worth Watching?

To watch the first video, it takes nothing but a few minutes and you aren’t forced to opt into anything, so if you’re concerned about that…you can go right to the video page and get started.

But I know you’re busy and may be wondering what it’s all about before you take the time out of your day.

A Quick Answer: Definitely some solid information there that I’d be willing to bet MOST people don’t use, even if in the back of their minds they think they already know some of it.

A Longer Answer:

The first video (that you can watch at this page) is called “Results Detection” and includes very practical techniques to eliminate much of the trial and error process that comes with building traffic and an online business in general.

There are at least 8-10 specific ideas (I was trying to count, but pay attention at the same time…so may have missed a couple in the count) he provides to help you find out what is ALREADY working for traffic generation, instead of spending time and money to come to same conclusions.

Once you’ve finished watching that video, you have the opportunity to sign up for the Traffic Secrets notification list and view the next video entitled, “Own More of the Internet“.

This is a very powerful concept that I’ve been teaching my own students in a variety of my programs. It’s all about going wide with your efforts and reaching more prospects. I enjoyed John’s discussion of the concept because he has incorporated a good suggestions regarding the latest technology, content formats and publicity tools that are available today.

He also includes a very important advice that he rightly says so many online business owners don’t follow - and it’s all about planning ahead and seeing the big picture in all your content creation and traffic strategies. It may seem simplistic, but until you think about it and look at how you do your own planning, you might be surprised that you’re not really doing it either.

Other Thoughts

If you’ve been around the online business world for a few years, you may know that I credit the first Traffic Secrets course and John’s teachings with a huge boost in my success. In fact, you can still see my original bonus offer and success story when John relaunched the first version of the course.

What’s interesting is that 90% or likely more of what John taught in that first course is still applicable today. There are just a few things about Google Adwords, other pay-per-clicks and search engines that needed some updating. John could have done some minor editing and continued to sell the course, but from discussions with him and seeing these videos, it’s easy to see he’s taking a whole fresh approach and really harnessing the technology and tools available to us today. I for one, am looking forward to a whole lot more.

Take a look at the videos and let me know what you think.

I had a chance to go over the videos and thought hes has brought a whole new approach to internet marketing.

I have his first course, although i did not get it right away. I still learned alot and also agree that many of the techniques can be applied today.

I am for sure that the information he has in the new product will be just as good as the first one.

Indeed, those are great news Traffic Secrets is coming out soon!

    [promotional link removed...sorry]

    Yours,

I have to admit that I’m one of those folks who usually has a kneejerk reaction and runs in the other direction when I’m suddenly inundated by multiple people sending me the same thing, and that’s the case with the John Reese videos. As you said, I feel like I’ve been beaten over the head, and this type of thing has happened before. The only one that didn’t turn me away was the Adsense Secrets, and that’s only because I had always wanted to buy it anyway.

Anyhow, since you’ve written just a bit more than everyone else about them, maybe I’ll suck it up and go see them, just to give them a chance. Any time I might really learn something and don’t take the opportunity, I just might need to slap myself silly.

A lot of good interesting stuff to digest - I’m going to have to watch a few more times to get it all.
But what is with those scarecrow fingers! They are very distracting!

LOL Gill. I heard someone else describe it as an imaginary crystal ball. I was thinking something along the lines of Mr. Burns in The Simpsons, but John isn’t that skinny and is much better looking. :-)
It’s one of the reasons I don’t video. I do weird things with bulging my eyes out when I talk on video. You’d REALLY get distracted with that.

If he merely updated version 1, he would be missing out on another 3-4K each…now that would be just crazy talk.

Each customer, you mean Dennis? I don’t recall the exact price point, but TS2 will be considerably cheaper at around $399ish.

  8. Dennis Edell on July 8th, 2008 7:45 am

Yep each customer. Yep, that is considerably cheaper…..

I’ll stop now as this belongs more in a “rant” category then on a review, sorry.

It is indeed a good reveiw though, much more detailed then the other 997,462 emails I received :-)

You can rant all you want, Dennis. It’s all good. :-)The $997 I originally paid was worth every penny.

    LOL Gill & Alice!

…But what is with those scarecrow fingers! They are very distracting!…

…I was thinking something along the lines of Mr. Burns in The Simpsons…

I thought the SAME THING! I kept expecting him to say “Eeeeexxxxellllent…”

Although yes, he is far better looking :-) That’s kind of a distraction too.

I never did purchase his first course so all I have to go on is how well it actually did for the others who used it.

I do have to agree with Mitch too. After awhile you can only take so many “John Reese is Back!” emails.

It’s become a bit of banner blindness to me at this point.

Got something to say?
