Hi Lode – sorry to hear about your experience. I think going back to #1 and focusing on what makes your remarkable (sometimes just being the most informative doesn’t quite cut it), will help.

Ongoing blog readership grows by connections with audiences. What makes you a little more interesting and would draw people to you? How are you really different?

Well; your info is super. Still it kind of bums me out. You see; I am already doing the things you’re talking about and yet I don’t seem to get any extra traffic to my site.

I compare my content with other blogs similar to mine and frankly (don’t mean to be vain) my content is more informative, more educational then my competition. Yet my competition has the traffic and subscribers while I don’t.

So … got some other suggestions? Love to hear them. Thanks you.

We we started FingerBiz we wanted the word of mouth to be so powerful that we would not need to depend on blogs.

Although we do have a blog its word of mouth that is making our members money each day.

Regarding the ping set up on wordpress; in your dashboard go to “settings, writing” and scroll down to “update services”. That’s where pingomatic lives. I went to several sites that will automatically ping an article for you including pingmyblog.com, autopinger.com and a few more. Then I made a list of all the feeds, copied them into wordpress in the “update services” box.

I did filter my list so that I wouldn’t double ping by taking a look at what pingomatic was pinging and deleting those entries from my master list. If you want a copy of the list visit my blog and leave me a message.

Thanks for this information. It’s nice to see someone focussing on the content – especially the advice to ‘be remarkable’! We all have our own style and perspective on things… and it’s important to share that with others, rather than just being another cardboard cut-out blogger.
