Sweetie Saturday Website GiveawayAlmost one year ago (geez, I didn’t know it had been SOOOOOOO long), we gave away a complete package to help an online business owner get a real leg up in getting started with their online business.

I’m pleased to say we’re doing it again. Here are the details:

Easy Website Builder1. 6 months subscription to the ULTRA-EASY (and sweet-looking!) Internet Based Family website builder. This website builder is so easy that you can have a website up and running in no-time flat. Learn more about the easy website builder here. You can even take it for a 10-day free trial right now. (Value: $102)

2. A professionally-designed page header. With the site builder, you can quickly and easily add a pre-designed header…but I’m going to provide you with a custom Internet Based Family header built to your specifications. (Value: $50)

3. 5 fully-researched articles. You choose the topics and we’ll write ‘em for you, so you’ll have something to put on your website right away. (Value $100)

4. 2 PLR Article Bundles and 1 Research Bundle. 5 articles is a great start, but how about 30 more, plus research on 15 additional topics to make it easier to create even more content. You’ll choose from 2 article bundles and 1 research bundle and much of the work is done for you. (Value $33.91)

5. 1 Press Release Pack. Generate publicity for your brand new website, by choosing a press release pack just right for your business. (Value: $17.97)

But I won’t leave you hanging.

6. Your prize winnings come with 1 hour consultation with yours truly to help ensure you’re making the most of this opportunity and putting together a brand new profitable venture. (Value: $150)

TOTAL PRIZE VALUE: $453.94

So Why Don’t We Just Put The Website Together for the Winner?

If you noticed, the winner of this prize will have plenty of planning and some work to do…even though we’ve taken care of a lot of the grunt work. The winner will need to:

-> Decide on a target market / topic for his/her website.
-> Consult with the graphic designer on the page header.
-> Choose topics for the 5 original articles.
-> Distribute the press releases (but don’t worry, the pack comes with full instructions).
-> Choose the basic design of the website (this is really easy with the website builder).
-> Put the content up on the website and monetize it accordingly.

Seems like a lot of work for a giveaway, right? Why wouldn’t I just set the winner up with a ready-to-run website? Well – because I think that would be setting the winner up for failure. Online business is about making important decisions…and putting in the necessary work, so if you’re not up for it…please don’t enter.

I want the winner to be a motivated person, who just needs that extra nudge and tools to get things started. If you’re that type of person, here’s how to enter:

1. Write a comment with your full name, state/province and country stating that you’d like to enter. Please include 3 sentences (or more) on why you’d like to get your hands on this great prize.

2. Deadline for entry is 10 PM PST Tuesday (January 27, 2009 – Click here to see what time it is in PST).

3. I’ll pick a winner with great potential and announce him/her on Wednesday. You must claim your prize within 7 days or we will pick a new winner.

Good luck!

  4. Jeanne Dockins

    Hi Ms. Seba,

I am from Arizona, USA and am in the process of starting a new web design and marketing corp. My target market will be brick and mortar businesses. Hopefully during these difficult economic times I can help businesses develop multiple streams of income via online sales as well build my own income to eventually retire from my day J.O.B.

Thank you very much for the opportunity to enter your very generous Sweetie Saturday Giveaway.

    All the Best!
    Jeanne

  5. Sharon Johnson

You are always doing things to help people improve their businesses. I am wanting to start a VA business and would really love to have your help in getting it started. Thanks for all you do!

  6. Thank you for the opportunity to enter your Sweetie Saturday Giveway. As a new Netpreneur I need some help putting it all together. I TOTALLY identify with the entire information overload statement. Don’t know where to best spend my time and with two teenagers and a floundering retail business I need HELP! Thanks again for being so sweet!

  7. Tim

    Hello,
I would love to have a “helping hand” so to speak. I have the drive and determination, but seem to be missing the “roadmap”. Time, energy, and motivation I have, so please consider me for the giveaway. Keep up the good work.

  8. Alice Seba

Hey everyone – if you’re entering….don’t forget to read all the instructions above. Feel free to resubmit if you missed any details. :-)

    Good luck!

  9. Hi,

I already picked my niche which is putting offline business online.
I have been reading several dummy books on website building and researching the niche on search engines for some time.

I work in public transportation field and I see more and more empty stores everyday. And I wonder if these businesses ever had their own websites to promote their businesses.

When I have my first website with WordPress blog for offline business,
I will offer their business indexed on Google Map for very
    modest fee to start with.

I will set up WordPress blog on new client’s website also.

I will offer my continuing SEO service putting more articles
on their blog. Guess I will need more PLR articles.

I already picked my domain and hosting which is
    LocalOnlinePro.com

With your generous Saturday Sweet giveaway,
my business would get jump start a lot sooner.
    Thanks in advance.

    from Arizona-USA cowboy

  10. Virginia

Thank you so much for all you do Alice. I am a struggling web novice who lets technology get in my way every time I get started. I have an existing web site, but am working towards daily activities to attract people to it. I would love to have personal guidence on the best ways to achieve that goal. You and your team are always there willing to lend a helping hand, and I appreciate all of your work. Thanks again and best of luck to everyone entering the contest!

  11. Virginia Long

OOPS, forgot my details – Virginia Long, Tennessee USA

  12. Hi Alice,

My name is Mary Blackburn and I am from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA, and I would like to enter your contest. I would love to be the lucky person you choose to win your Sweetie Saturday because: I am an aspiring Internet Marketer/Blogger that has a website, and 2 Squidoo Lens’ live, and 2 niches that I am interested in pursuing. However, my website looks totally unprofessional, in my opinion, even though I used what I thought was a good option for someone without alot of experience.

I feel that I am getting a very bad case of information overload. I’m doing alot of reading and not sure who to follow. I’ve been reading your items for a while and would love to work with you. I am not afraid of hard work or long hours and would be willing to do whatever it takes to get a successful online business going.

Thank you for your consideration and your fantastic contest opportunity.

    Mary

  13. Sandra Sims

    Hi Alice!

I am Sandra Sims from Indian Trail, NC, USA and would love to be considered for this wonderful Sweetie Saturday Giveaway website! I have been a VA now for over two years and am now ready to put my business on the www and just haven’t been able to afford it either. I am not experienced in the web designer world and really need major help! I don’t even understand all of the termnology that you need and haven’t even chosen a domain name yet either. I have been awaiting for the right time to take my business to a higher level and I believe 2009 will be the year. I am willing to put the effort that is needed into learning what it takes and I just need major guidance!!!

Thanks for making this wonderful offer available! Hope you and your family are doing well!

    Sandra

  14. Hi, I’d love to win your cool prizes. If you’d look at my mmo blog you’d see I definitely need the header makeover. I also could use everything else especially the content since your’s is great! I’m struggling for traffic since I just started my make money online business site & would love your help turning it around to be a site other’s would love to come to everyday. My budget has been zero so all help is needed for this wahm.

  15. Tina Lanciault

    Hi Alice,
My name is Tina Lanciault from the first state of Delaware here in the USA. Thanks so much for this opportunity to join in this contest. I am a registered nurse working in home care and have been wanting (and dreaming) for a very long time of starting my own business helping people find homecare information, services, support groups, organizations and so much more ( I have tons of ideas floating around in my head) they could use to
accomplish this difficult but exceptional job of caring for a loved one at home. I have 20+ years of nursing experience, I know I could be a wealth of information to alot more people than just my patients.
I would greatly welcome the chance to do this, I just need help to pull it all together. And even if I don’t win, I will accomplish this dream, it will just take me a little longer to do.
    Thanks so much!

  16. I think you said it best, Alice; it’s a GREAT prize, but……………

I want this prize because I’m almost half-way there; all I need is some help. I’ve got the domain name, I know who my target market is, and I’ve been trying to monetize my dream since 2002. I’ve got the potential, but I need the kind of help this prize is offering. I know what to say but not how to say it. My graphic design skills are nearly nil. Most of all, though, I need someone to talk to (those consultation hours would be a HUGE help).

    Please, PLEASE choose me!

    Donna Caissie
    Worcester, MA U.S.A.

    P.S. See, I can even follow directions :-) .

  17. Alice: What a great offer! And one that I would like to win! I’ve participated in several of your classes and have found them to be extremely helpful as they have provided me an opportunity to see my business, and what I am doing with it, through someone else’ eyes.

I’m beginning my 17th year in the gift basket industry, write for our trade publication, and operate a directory for the industry. What I would like to do, if I win your offer, is to use my expertise within the industry, to create a website for those who are struggling to start and grow a gift related business. In today’s economic situation, micro businesses need to be very careful and can no longer just jump in and see what happens.

If I win your offer, I would want to create a business plan for the new endeavor as it would need to pay for itself while providing valuable information for those using the site.

Thanks for providing the opportunity and good luck to whomever is chosen.

    Joyce Reid

  18. I did forget to add state and country. It is Arizona in good old USA!
    Joyce

  19. What an awesome opportunity! This would definately kick my ebook launch into high gear! I have been diligently working on an ebook about starting a lawn greeting business. I have the domain, ebook cover, an almost complete sales page….and that is where it stops. I still need lots of guidance! On the website I plan to offer more follow up products for the lawn greeting business in the near future. Winning this prize would bring everything together and really launch my site instyle! Plus, I would be so honored to win a one on one consultation with you! That in itself is the best prize!

Be a sweetie and pick me! =)

  20. Peggy Dallmann

    Hi, Alice,

I was very excited to read about this great prize! It would be an answer to my prayers if I were to win. Plus, I’m certain that each part of the whole package will be excellent. I have received other freebies from you, and I’ve been happy with all of them. Unlike freebies from others, you provide advice or tools that I can actually use and, unlike freebies from others who give away something just as a lead-in to the “real” prize, which must be paid for.

I plan to start a three-way at-home business very soon: freelance writing, affiliate marketing and information marketing. Freelancing will be my priority, with the other two as additional income streams to help me survive leaner times.

I am new to online business. Additionally, I am middle-aged, meaning I didn’t grow up with a computer as was the case with my son. Nick probably could help me with some of the technical details, but he lives too far away to help.

I have done much study and research, and now I’m ready to get started. But I need help, and I would work hard to ensure that your advice, tools and products would not go to waste. I have decided to work at home because I have a back disability, making it difficult for me to work where I have to stand or sit for long periods of time. I am a former journalist, so I decided to build upon those skills for a new career–and a new way of life! Please pick me, and I promise I will continue my hard work with your help.

Thanks – Peggy Dallmann, Indianapolis, IN

  21. susanne

Would love to winthis. persistance rules the day it has been said I am trying again this year to put my name forward for the prize. thanks for offering it again.

  22. Yolie Rose

    Hello,
My name is Yolie Rose, I live in Atlanta, Georgia, USA and I would love to enter and be considered for this great prize!
I think this is a great opportunity for any individual that is interested in pursuing this and starting a web-based business especially during these times with the way the economy is many of us have had to find other ways to supplement our incomes or either find another form of income as myself!

Good luck to everyone and thanks for the opportunity to be considered for the many great features you’re offering!

    Future successsful online businessowner,
    Yolie Rose;-)

  23. Name: Sarah Zeldman
    Location: Toronto, Ontario
    Country: Canada

I would love to win this prize because I have been planning to create an ebookstore with Internet Based Family for long time. (I have just been focusing on other projects first) I have plenty of ebooks to be able to create the store. However, more importantly, I have unique ideas as to how to make the store irresistibly attractive for my target market. The professional help that comes with the prize would help me implement my plans in a faster, easier way and enhance the store’s profitability.

  24. Andrew Wolf

    Hi Alice,

My name is Andrew Wolf and I live in Rochester, New York in the U.S. I have a great idea for a lucrative website, but I’ve never really built a business site before. I’m fairly computer savvy and I work part-time as a nurse, so I have time to devote to this project.

I’m also excited about sharing this information with other people and feel that this type of content is really needed right now. With a little bit of guidance and the right tools, I know I can get this bird off the ground!

    Can you help me?

    Ready to soar,

    Andrew Wolf
    Rochester, NY
    USA

P.S. Thanks for providing such excellent content and advice for us newbies! I really appreciate the wisdom and experience you share.

  25. I wish I was around for last years contest Alice!! What a great contest! I wish everyone luck who enters and wins the contest!!

    Serena Carcasole

  26. Ivye

    Hi, Alice!
My name is Chiara Prezzavento, from Mantova (ITALY), and I’d like to enter your contest.
Yes, I’m geographically a lot out of the way, but I really want to launch my online business, offering publishing services: manuscript evaluation, editing, professional critiquing, story-doctoring, translations, and so on.
I’m a published author in Italy: writing has always been my dream, and now it is coming true. Ive done it all alone, and now I realize how much easier it would have been, if I had had someone to guide me through some of the steps. Of course, no one can write for you, but there are lots of things you *can* get help with, and I love the idea of helping aspiring writers make *their* dream true.
Trouble is, I’m such a dummy when it comes to web design and marketing…
Your prize would be nothing short of a boon!
So, here I am, with my fingers crossed…

    Ivye

  27. Hello Alice,

My name is Jennifer Simpson. I am from Scottsdale, Arizona, USA. I would love to be the 2009 recipient of your Headstart giveaway. I would appreciate the information you have to offer and would gladly pay for it, if I was able. My goal for early 2009 is to obtain enough clientele to support my expenses for attendence to the IVAA Summit in April. I would love to expand my network, gain industry knowledge, including social media as well as meet some fabulous VA’s face to face. As a new VA with no budget, it is hard to know what to do and how to do it right. Your Headstart giveaway would be just what I need at just the right time.

    Wishing Business Success to All!

  28. Vonalda Utterback

    Hello Alice,
Thank you for offering this contest!

I would so appreciate the help with finally getting my business moving. The technology end of things has me stopped short. I have a domain name, hosting, and a niche. I would love help with the techno end of getting it together and a consult about my business plan. There’s so much conflicting information out there. I really like what you do and the way you run your business. I consider you a mentor.

    Thank you for considering me,
    Vonalda Utterback

  30. Hi I’m Mara Burke. I live in Alabama, USA.

I have been working really hard at establishing myself as a ghostwriter for the last two years so that I haven’t had time to actually get a website up. I have a domain name and an idea for the website, just not the expertise to get it online. I would like to enter the contest and finally get my own website up.

    Thanks,
    Mara

  31. My name is Linda Metz. I am from the land of snow and cold and 10,000 frozen lakes (St. Paul, MN.) I very much appreciate the opportunity to enter your contest and win your 2009 Headstart Giveaway. I am a 25-year veteran in providing administrative and technical support services and am currently (trying at) launching a new and my first Virtual Assistant practice. The great information you are providing here would be the key I need to help me move from where I am now to running a useful and productive business that fulfills my mission; to run a professional business that supports my family and also contributes and gives back to the VA community. (P.S. My website still doesn’t work in IE6 … sorry … still working on browser issues.)

    “tricks.”
I wish I’d come across your site much earlier,
and I have to credit Carrie Lauth for my finding it.
I’d had contact with her several years ago and found

IF I DONT WIN I WOULD LIKE TO THANK YOU FOR THE INFO THA YOU HAVE ALREADY PROVIDED.

    Alice,
Thanks for giving us this great opportunity. I am from Singapore and currently, I am working to revamp my web site which is been same for the past 2 years and interestingly, it still has consistent traffic coming in. Your daily blog has inspired me to re-do my site to help more people and be the expert of the industry. This package comes timely as I need help so much. Your prize will be a great New Year gift to me.

    Many thanks.

    Cheers,

  35. Hi Alice,

I was just looking into purchasing DreamWeaver to update my current Website and create an online blog/magazine, and am frustrated because I simply can’t afford it right now. I was laid off from my last job as a Web content writer, and decided to launch my own online writing business (www.letteryell.com) instead of heading back to the dead-end 9-5er. My vision is to create a hub for encouraging single Indian American women to “keep on keeping on”–offering support through humor, tips, inspiration, etc. Eventually, I hope that the content resonates with women of all cultures. I see this branching out into a weekly newsletter, an online magazine with podcasts, and links to my editing services (to pay the bills for now). I would love to get going on this concept, but my bank account says otherwise! Any help would be serendipitous right now!
