Do You Make More Per Hour at Your Old/Current Job or in Your Biz?
Yesterday, we released our quiz (over 187 people have taken it so far) that creates a customized plan to help you increase your hourly worth as you work in your business. This means you can earn a full-time income (or more) in part-time hours if you make adjustments and continuously work for great efficiency and productivity.
So, here’s a question if you’re cool with answering -> Do you make more per hour in your online business or do you/did you make more per hour in your job? Now I’m not talking about overall income…you may very well make more or less with your business…we’re just talking how much you make for each hour worked.

Thank you for asking this question, Alice! My immediate reaction was “I’m making A LOT LESS!”. But then I did some basic math and figured out that what I charge now per hour is actually a lot more than what my former employer used to pay me (even taking into account paid leave, etc).
Still, overall I’m making a lot less now than I used to as an employee since I only work part-time for now. Plus the income varies quite a lot month to month.
Thanks for sharing Yelena. I appreciate it.
Not sure if you counted it, but for service providers, they also need to do further calculations beyond hourly rate. After all, client work is only part of building and maintaining a business. From answering emails to getting the books in order to marketing…all the time spent should be incuded.

I’m making more than I did in my last regular day job, but less if I actually divide it by the hours I put in.
Thanks for the quiz – it was an eye opener, and I appreciated the custom suggestions.
Another great idea, Alice!

I’ve done this calculation a few times and I earn three to four times per hour as much as I did at my last job. That seems to go up the longer I’m involved in internet marketing too.
