Thanks for these tips. I particularly make use of the tip, make notes of topics ahead of time. This helps me much as i get great ideas but am apt to forget quickly if I don’t write them down.

Great ideas! As a relatively new blogger, I was so excited when I found out I could schedule messages! I’ve already finished January and I’m into February now! By the way, if something important comes up in between regular posts I can always add another message
Though I’m new to blogging, I have been putting a newsletter out for quite a while. Here are a few tricks I use for when inspiration hits:
1. Keep a notebook by your bed so when you get that flash at 3am you can jot it down so you don’t have to worry about forgetting it.
2. Write things in series. Like a 5 step plan for ____. Then post them one at a time. This also keeps people coming back. And you can even turn them into a free giveaway delivered via autoresponder or develop them into a full-fledged course for purchase.
3. If you have a job that requires you to be at the computer most of the time, start an e-mail to yourself at the beginning of the day. Minimize the screen and as you get ideas ad them the the e-mail then go back to work. By the end of the day you’ll have plenty to send yourself.
4. Take a digital recorder with you when you’re out walking, doing errands or whatever and record ideas as they hit. I got one at K’mart for under $40 and I can even use it to upload audio files to my computer which I can be posted on my website later if I want.
If you keep your ears and eyes open, you’ll soon find there are way too many ideas and not enough blogs in the world to hold them all!

PS I LOVE your suggestion about doing things in bulk! Setting a schedule to hammer out multiple blog posts is a great time management skill…thanks for the reminder

Alice, thanks for sharing these tips. In the last couple weeks I’ve been keeping lists of ideas like you suggest, and it’s been helpful. Also had some friends write down their lists of topics and questions that they were interested in and that was very helpful!
Tried out the scheduling aspect of wordpress for the first time yesterday and boy that makes this week’s posting so much easier. I have a whole series on casting a vision and goal setting scheduled this week and I did all the work yesterday. I’m so thrilled to be able to put posting on auto-pilot like that.
Thanks for being generous with your tips and experience!

Thanks Alice for a really great idea (and kick in the butt)! I took your advice, spent an hour and came up with 4 months of post ideas for 2 blogs! On target as usual.

Great info I do keep a pad by the bed some of my great ideas for my blog come at night when I think I am ready to go to sleep. I forgot all about using the scheduling on the blog. Sometimes I have a lot of time to blog and now I can set them up to post on a schedule. Thanks for the reminder.
