This is a simple printable document that allows you to track your progress through the various steps. Each sheet has space for 10 articles. If you publish more than 10 each month, simply print out extra sheets.

Both documents, plus complete instructions have been put into a zip file (contents are 2 .pdf documents plus 1 .txt file). You are welcome to use these for your own personal use and to give the zip file out freely to your friends, colleagues, subscribers and customers. All I request is that you don’t make any changes, so that the complete system stays intact.

How to create a YouTube Video

Q: Can you tell me how to create a YouTube Video?


A: YouTube makes it easy to take a video and share it with the world. You can share personal videos with friends and family. Businesses can record tutorials, advertisements, or even quick sales messages with little effort. Here’s how to do it:

Step 1. Make a video. In order for it to be viewable via YouTube your video has to be taken with a digital device such as a digital camcorder, digital camera, or cell phone. Videos must be less than 10 minutes, smaller than 100MB, and in .AVI, .MOV, .WMV, or .MPG file format.

Step 2. If you’re taking a video from your cell phone, here’s how to upload it into YouTube

1. Log in to YouTube and go to the “My Account” page.

2. Under “Account Settings,” click the “Mobile Upload Profiles” link.

3. Click the “Create Mobile Profile” button and enter the information required.

4. Click the “Create Profile” button.

5. When your profile is set up, you will be given an email address to upload the video taken with your phone. Email your video to that address. After it’s uploaded, go to YouTube and edit the information about the video (optional).

Step 3. If you’re uploading a video from your camcorder or digital camera here’s how to upload it into YouTube:

1. Click “Upload Videos” in the upper-right-hand corner of the YouTube page.

2. Enter Title, Description, Tags, and Category to make it easy for people to find your video.

3. Set your video to Public or Private. Private videos would be for sharing with friends and family.

4. Click the “Upload a Video” button.

5. In the next window, click the “Browse” button to browse for the video file. Select the file you want to upload.

6. Click the “Upload Video” button. Note that it can take a up to an hour for your video to upload.

That’s it. You’re done. You now have a YouTube video!

Make Your Headline Stand Out

Your headline is the first thing your visitors read; therefore it needs to grab their attention. Make it catchy but also state clearly how your product can benefit the reader.

Don’t Leave Them Hanging

Many times pages are written well but are lacking the call to action - directions that tell the reader what to do after they’ve read the content. The content simply stops and the reader leaves because they don’t know what else to do. If you want your readers to do something, tell them! “Click here to purchase”, “sign up now” and “buy now’ all tell them exactly what you want them to do. Remember, if you do not ask them to take action, they won’t.

Use Bullets

People are so busy these days they don’t have time to read. They simply want to scan web pages to see if the information offered is what they are looking for. For ease of reading, use bullets to explain your products benefits. Your visitors eyes will be drawn to the bulleted text which if written well will keep them reading.

Make Navigating Easy

A professional, organized and easy to navigate site will reduce confusion and help build credibility. Keeping your visitors from getting lost will ensure they don’t click away.

Add Your Photo and Signature

Adding a photo of yourself and your handwritten signature creates realism and trust. Your visitors will feel like they are doing business with a real person instead of just a computer.

Include Testimonials

Testimonials provide further credibility. When someone offers feedback on your product, ask for permission to publish their statement on your site. Also, see if they will provide a photo of themselves to include with it. If your visitors see that real people, just like them, are satisfied; they will be more likely to purchase from you.

Have More Than One Payment Option

Although you may use PayPal for most of your purchases, not everyone has a PayPal account. Giving your visitors more than one payment option will only help increase your sales.
