Coffee with Melissa: Affiliate Marketing Success
Besides information products, affiliate marketing is one of the best ways to create passive income, and I personally plan to take it up a notch.
I toss out a few tips on affiliate marketing in the video, but I forgot one really important one that I wanted to mention when you choose products. So here it is:
“Try to choose products that are recurring, like membership sites, so that you can reap the rewards of your efforts month after month.”
If you’re looking for a shortcut to setting up niche affiliate websites, my friend Susanne Myers has created profitable niche packages.
Her packages will help you to instantly get started in a new niche and take it to profit. And they’ll also help you to improve your income in the niche that you’re in.
Each of the packs contain the following:
* Who your target market for this niche is
* List of affiliate products available that you can promote for profit
* 100 domain name ideas (plus list of modifiers for hundreds more)
* Detailed keyword report containing 1000 keywords for this niche
* 100 article and blog post ideas/titles
* 15 different author resource boxes
* 2 different detailed marketing plans (beginner and advanced) with action steps to get you up and running right away
* List of available PLR products for this niche
* Recommended tools and resources
CLICK HERE to get all the details and see available packs.
The package I purchased from her (which was super affordable by the way) literally saved me hours, probably days, of time, and enabled me to put up a blog in just a few hours.
Reader Question: How to Monetize an Article Submission
I know, I know, another video… but a girl’s gotta get with the times right?
Now this particular video was actually created based on a question that one reader asked. Kamrul Hassan wanted to know how he could monetize an article that was giving him the #1 position on Google.
The thing is, when it comes to articles, well, you’re pretty limited on what you can do. And the truth is, a lot of article directories, Ezine Articles included, are really going to start cracking down on the way things are done this year in order to keep Google happy. That includes clamping down on affiliate links, spammy topics, and editing your article after it’s published. It all comes down to the good ’ole Google slap if the owners of these sites continue to allow marketers to create a “bad neighborhood” online.
So in this video I mainly talk about your resource box and how you can get people to click through, and how to easily track your article’s performance. I also touch on the use of keywords. Check it out:
Related Resources:
-> Unique Article Wizard: I’ve used this one in the past, and it’s really an awesome program. In fact, I personally saw my some of sites climb to the top of Google for my keywords in a matter of days, so it works like it’s suppoed to (though, of course, I can’t guarantee you would get the same results from using it).
It basically submits unique versions of your article to all the article directories, so you get more mileage out of one article. But a word of warning, it does take a little more effort to publish your articles because of how it provides unique versions, but it’s so worth the effort.
-> ISnare: This is one I use frequently because it submits all your articles to all the article directories for you. So much easier than doing it manually, and it’s something you can have your VA do by allowing her access to your account.
The site itself isn’t pretty to look at, but it does the job like it says it will, and it’s pretty inexpensive too. It’s $10 to submit 5 articles, which then go out to all the directories in their database. You can add credits to your account via PayPal as often as you need it, so I really like the set up because it’s not a monthly thing.
All my best,

Marketing Plan for 2010
Today marks the very last day of 2009, and I’m super excited about the year to come. I don’t do the whole party thing to ring in the New Year, but if you’re going out, have fun and stay safe!
I recently finished putting together my business plan binder for 2010, so I decided to shoot a quick video to share some of the things inside of it with you. Oh, and I kinda got carried away on the whole working from home thing, so the intro is kinda goofy, LOL! Not to mention my overuse of the word ”so”.
Anyway, I hope you glean a few ideas for your own planning, and I would love to hear your suggestions and thoughts for preparing your business for a New Year.
Product mentioned in Video: I printed out the 8 page checklist from Sales Army Secrets that lists 20 things you can do to help you recruit new affiliates, and placed it in my planning binder for easy reference.
The course is fantasic and is filled with unique and effective strategies that Jimmy D. Brown uses to build and motivate his affiliate force…and how you can use them too. I’ll be putting the information I learned from this course into action this year.
Also, my Affiliate Manager Sweetie course comes with 6 editable email swipe files that you can use to send to potential affiliates to get them on board, and promoting your products. So I plan to refer back to those myself too ;-)
