Q: I use FrontPage. Can I Edit My Web Pages Live On My Server?

A: Yes, you can. This is an incredible timesaver and I can’t believe I never tried it before!

If you work with more than one computer or work on a website with other people, this will help ensure you don’t overwrite any work done. It is also a great time-saver if you’re changing a number of pages at once…and I now do all my editing live.

Basically, you use FrontPage to access your server and open the pages that are on your website. You simply edit them and hit save – and VOILA! your site is updated.

Just remember to do frequent back-ups. Also remember, once you hit the “save” button, the changes are permanent. You can’t go back to the previous version of the page, unless you have a back-up.
