A: If you have visited any websites that provide information on how to get free publicity or get site traffic, then you most likely have seen the term, article marketing. This refers to writing articles and submitting them to reprint directories.

Website owners and bloggers visit these sites to access free content for their own sites. When they publish and article you have submitted, they will include a link back to your site. This helps drive traffic to you.

Some sites may require registration before you submit an article, and some do not. Each site has its own specific guidelines, so make sure you get familiar with their specific instructions.

On these sites, you will see a link that says something like, submit your article. This is where you click, and will be sent to a page with a form where you will want to copy and paste your article. You will also be entering personal information such as your name. Some people use their real name, but some prefer to use what is called a pen name.

In the field that says, author bio box or reference box you will want to definitely include some detailed information. The site owner or blogger who publishes your article will include this information. Always include some information about your website and URL as well.

If you are submitting an article that refers to information found on a specific page of your site, always refer to that exact page.

This will allow you to receive highly targeted traffic which will increase your affiliate conversion rates and profits.
