Q: I have several old podcasts that I’d like to combine into one audio and give away as a freebie. Is there a way I do this?

A: There are several programs that will allow you to do this but one free one is Audacity. Just Google the name and you’ll find where to download it. Once you download and install the program, here are the steps for combining the files.

1. Imported the podcast files into the Audacity software.

2. Select the second file in the list by clicking it once.

3. Go to the Edit menu and select the “Find Zero Crossings” option, right-click and choose “Cut” from the edit menu.

4. Paste the file at the end of the first audio by putting your cursor at the end, right-click and select the “Paste” option.

That’s it, you have now combined two audios into one. Continue to follow steps 2-4 for the remaining audios. Once complete, play it to see how it sounds making adjustments as needed. Once it is finished to your liking, choose File –> Export and save.
