Q: How do I change to the text only editor in WordPress?

A: If you want to switch from the visual editor into a text-only editor, follow these steps:

1. In your WorddPress control panel, click “Users” in the top menu:

Click Users

2. Find your username and click “Edit”:

Click Edit

3. Under “Edit User”, make sure the check box for “Use visual editor when writing” is NOT checked:

Uncheck the box

4. Then to the far right, click “Update User” and you’re now using the text-only editor:

Uncheck the box
